Dr. Hector Trujillo, ND, LAc, RN
BACKGROUND
Dr. Trujillo earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, Masters in Acupuncture, and Bachelor in Herbal Science from Bastyr University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions. He has practiced at several health clinics including Coastal Acupuncture & Natural Health Center, Seyhart, Safe Harbor Treatment Center, and Charlestown Community Health Center - Massachusetts General Hospital. He has been featured in Oprah’s Magazine and NBC’s California Live, discussing the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
SPORTS MEDICINE
Dr. Trujillo is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in sports medicine–informed acupuncture and pain management for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Trujillo provides non-pharmacologic, evidence-informed care for acute and chronic sports injuries, overuse conditions, and everyday musculoskeletal pain—from youth soccer and club volleyball to collegiate and professional athletes.
Using functional movement assessment, targeted acupuncture (including motor-point and myofascial techniques), and individualized recovery-focused treatment plans. Dr. Trujillo helps patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and safely return to the activities they love. Dr. Trujillo frequently collaborate with sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and trainers to support a coordinated, team-based approach to care. Dr. Trujillo welcomes student-athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone seeking an effective, integrative option for pain relief and performance support.
